An American soldier begins again to take an interest in life.

Bedside and ward occupations serve to interest wounded men and keep their minds active and off their own troubles. Occupation is also one of the best curative agents at the command of the physician, and in most cases it does much to expedite recovery. Gone are the old days when men lay for months in a hospital bed gazing at the ceiling and brooding about the future.
